Upright Luggage Sizes

For a traveler, a luggage is an important item as it is needed to carry all the things you will need while overseas. With lots of different luggage brands and sizes in the market, choosing and purchasing the correct one for you can be quite a headache for some.

An upright luggage is often chosen due to the wheels which come with them. With the wheels, it allows travelers to roll their luggage around without having to bear the full weight of the luggage. This adds to the ease and convenience of the travelers.

However, there are many different upright luggage sizes in the market. The upright luggage sizes can range from 19 inches to 30 inches. The choice of your luggage size will depend on how long and how much luggage you will need to bring.

Upright luggage of around 19 to 22 inches is also called as cabin-sized or compact size luggage. For trips of around 1 to 3 days, such luggage size will usually be sufficient for most travelers.

For travelers who are traveling overseas for around 1 week, it will be better to get the mid-sized luggage. Mid-sized luggage will generally be around the size of 23 to 26 inches. In addition, there is also the large size luggage (27 to 30 inches), which is ideal for longer trips of around 2 weeks.

Besides these, travelers will also have to take note of the new airline regulations which limits the size of carry in and checked luggage. As a general guide, the maximum size for a carry in luggage is 45 inches (total length, width and height), while the maximum size for a checked luggage is around 62 inches. It will be best to check on the individual airline on their regulations before purchase of your luggage.
